The last bit of Smithers, and a frantic pack for Thailand!

Like many things in my life, this is something I've meant to update a little further in advance, and I've done a wretched job of it so far.  So, with an hour left in the airport before I fly out, I'll make a brief attempt to let everyone know I haven't died yet.

I LEAVE FOR THAILAND TODAY.

(This is my stuff)

My last little bit in Smithers was awesome.  I've really been enjoying the snow, and Damon and I even made a snowman.  Many snowball fights have been had in the last couple of days.  Smithers even has a farmer's market in the winter, and I bought some delicious home-baked bread and some honey for Andrea there.  And weirder still:  I bumped into Jay Hallman and his daughter.  I'm really not accustomed to living in a place where I bump into people I know.

I took the Greyhound down from Smithers, and it was looooong.  I left at 1:45AM, and I think I was on the bus for 19 hours.  I had a two hour layover in Prince George at 6:30 in the morning, and I went to a little diner called D'Lano's for a typical greasy diner breakfast.  I did manage to obtain a little bit of sleep, but it was of a poor quality, and I was beyond exhausted when I got into Vancouver at 9PM that night.  We had another stop in Williams Lake, and as testament to how quickly I adapt to things, I thought it was warm in Williams Lake, and there was still snow on the ground.

Passed a crazy accident on the highway, too.  Silly highways, covered in snow.

I've just spent the last two days staying with Andrea in Kitsilano, and the weather has been amazing.  Did a ton of random-last-minute-mundane-running-around things yesterday, and we went for Italian for dinner.  This morning, we had our last breakfast together at Arbutus Coffee ...tasty muffins and soy beverages involving chocolate.

I'm at the airport now, through security, nervous beyond measure, and just waiting to board my flight to Hong Kong.  I have a layover there, and then I'm off to Bangkok.  I just want to get on the plane already - if my nerves get any more frayed, I might die of cardiac arrest.
